FOUNDER
Meet The Founder Laura Wilder-Bass, founder and designer of KAYA & LOX, created the brand from a deeply personal place. For Laura, fashion has always been about how clothing makes a woman feel. She wanted garments that were not restrictive, not uncomfortable, and far removed from fast fashion. Instead, she envisioned pieces that were breathable, elegant and easy to wear.
MY PHILOSOPHY
KAYA & LOX began with a personal shift in how I wanted to dress. There came a point when I realised I was no longer drawn to the bright colours and busy florals that seemed to dominate the fashion landscape. My sense of style had evolved. I wanted something quieter, more refined - clothing that felt more aligned with my values and the stage of life I was in.
The Essence of KAYA & LOX
I wanted pieces that were comfortable, effortless and beautifully practical. Clothing that felt natural to wear and easy to style. Most importantly, I wanted designs that reflected women like me - women who had lived, loved, grown and developed a deeper sense of their own personal style. When I looked around, I simply couldn't find anything on the market that truly resonated with me.
STYLES THAT DEFINES
So I went back to the drawing board and began designing the pieces I wished existed. Garments built around comfort, natural fibres and an effortlessly chic aesthetic. Pieces that celebrate a woman's individuality rather than chasing passing trends. I wanted to create clothing for women who often felt overlooked by mainstream fashion — women who know who they are and value quality, comfort and timeless style.
HOW IT WAS MADE
When she discovered the beauty and versatility of linen, everything changed. Linen moves with the body. It breathes with you. It creates a natural elegance that never tries too hard. This philosophy became the foundation of KAYA & LOX. Laura designs each piece with intention - creating garments that are timeless, stylish and effortlessly chic, while also being practical for real women living full lives.
